I’ll start with a quick summary of the macOS stuck progress bar situation. UPDATE! This issue is fixed in both the Monterey 12.1 and Big Sur 11.6.2 Full installer. In certain situations, the upgrade will fail and then get stuck with a neverending progress bar. MacOS Big Sur currently has an upgrade issue. This will ensure that you receive the latest security and system updates, and continue to enjoy the best protection from Sophos Home.MacOS Mojave or Catalina to Big Sur Upgrade Progress Bar Stuck Fix. ⚠️If you are currently running macOS 10.11 El Capitan, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of macOS. While Apple continues to provide security updates for more recent versions of macOS, these updates are no longer provided for macOS 10.11 El Capitan. The last security update from Apple for macOS 10.11 El Capitan was in July 2018. Sophos Home endpoints running on these versions of macOS will no longer receive new features, bug fixes, protection updates and customer support (including the ability to re-install the software- as the download is no longer available). Sophos Home ended support for macOS 10.11 El Capitan on October 31, 2019. Once an OS is permanently retired, it will no longer receive new features, bug fixes, protection updates, customer support, or virus definitions. This will ensure that you receive the latest security and system updates, and continue to enjoy the best protection from Sophos Home. ⚠️ If you are currently running macOS 10.13 High Sierra, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of macOS. While Apple continues to provide security updates for more recent versions of macOS, these updates are no longer provided for macOS 10.13. The last security update from Apple for macOS 10.13 High Sierra was in November 20 , 2020. Sophos Home endpoints running on this version of macOS will no longer receive new features, bug fixes, protection updates and customer support (including the ability to re-install the software- as the download is no longer available). Sophos Home ended support for macOS 10.13 High Sierra on September 15, 2021. ⚠️ If you are currently running macOS 10.14 Mojave, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of macOS. While Apple continues to provide security updates for more recent versions of macOS, these updates are no longer provided for macOS 10.14 The last security update from Apple for macOS 10.14 Mojave was in July 2021. Sophos Home endpoints running this version of macOS will no longer receive new features, bug fixes, protection updates and customer support (including the ability to re-install the software- as the download is no longer available). Sophos Home support for macOS 10.14 Mojave ends on October 31, 2022. ⚠️ If you are currently running macOS 10.15 Catalina, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of macOS. It is recommended to stay up-to-date on all operating system and security updates to keep your devices protected. While Apple continues to provide security updates for more recent versions of macOS, we expect Apple will stop providing them for macOS 10.15 after macOS 13 Ventura gets released in October 2022 The last security update from Apple for macOS 10.15 Catalina was in July 2022. Permanent retirement will take place in October 2023, at which point this OS will be moved to the bottom section and won't receive any kind of Support or updates. Sophos Home support for macOS 10.15 Catalina ends on October 31, 2022.
